ECO FLA supports Slow Food USA initiative-where’s the buzz?

According to Slow Food USA honey bees are under attack but, as of yet, no one knows just what the culprit might be. Since bees are responsible for helping us grow food by pollinating many of our crops, ECO FLA encourages supporters and sponsors to join with Slow Food USA in getting the attention of the EPA to take constructive action to help honey bees.

Some of our collaborators are reporting higher concentrations of bees than in recent years.  This is good news.  One of our local organic growers reports large congregations of bees at his urban mirco-farm. They are especially interested in the broccoli, which he letting flower to eventually go to seed for next year’s crop. In the meantime, it is a little paradise for the bees.
